Her lips were numb from the vodka.
But they still burned from the cigarettes.
And wind felt like anesthesia,
Taking all of her pain away.
She wanted to be gone so badly.
Away from the toxicity of her life.
The bad memories kept rolling through her mind.
She couldn’t stop them.
Even though she couldn’t see straight,
She still pushed herself off the wall And walked back to her room.
Because sleep was the only thing that would take her out of her misery.
And still give her a fighting chance tomorrow.
