She sits with me while I smoke cigarette after cigarette.
She sits with me when I’m studying for my exams.
She sits with me when I cry about boys who have broken my heart.
She sits with me while I drive from state to state.
She sits with me at night,
When our days consisted of stress and school work.
She sits with me when I binge watch Grey’s Anatomy.
She sits with me when I’m alone in the cafe.
She’s the one who covers her face,
Because I’ve started to embarrass her.
She’s the one I will go to the end of the earth to visit.
Because she’s my person.
She’s the person that snuck up behind me,
And engraved herself into parts of my soul.
She has taken one of the biggest tolls on my life.
Helping me grow with each day of our friendship.
And she will forever be one of my sisters,
Even if we don’t share the same blood line.
She will forever be my person.
And that’s a pinky promise.
